Each potential client will receive a complimentary one-hour design consultation, allowing us to discuss the details of the project thoroughly and determine if our services align well with their needs. If both parties agree to proceed, we will then provide a detailed written proposal after the consultation meeting. Once the proposal is formally accepted, we will initiate the project and carefully move through the various phases outlined in the client agreement.

The pre-design phase includes several key activities such as conducting thorough research on zoning regulations and building codes, surveying the property, photographing various aspects, and accurately measuring the existing house (if applicable). Additionally, this phase entails the verification of as-built drawings, a careful review of the project's budget and schedule, as well as the development of a detailed project program to ensure all aspects are planned accordingly.

The Schematic Design (SD) phase of our work is crucial as it establishes the overall scope of the project and outlines the general design direction we intend to pursue. During this phase, we provide a variety of visual representations, including sketches and rendered elevation studies of the exterior, along with innovative site development ideas that complement the design vision. This process allows for a thoughtful exploration of different concepts and ensures all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the proposed direction.

The Design Development (DD) phase is a crucial stage in the architectural process where we focus on addressing various design details for the project. This includes the comprehensive creation of detailed drawings such as those depicting the layout of the site, thoughtfully designed floor plans, well-considered exterior elevations, thorough building sections, and specific construction details. The primary goal of the DD phase is to ensure that you have a clear understanding of how your home or renovation will look and function, as well as to obtain a complete drawing set that is suitable for accurate pricing and estimation.

The Construction Documents (CD) phase of our work involves the thorough completion of detailed drawings and specifications. This includes all necessary elements such as floor plans, exterior elevations, building sections, and intricate details, along with schedules, notes, and other pertinent information. These documents are essential as they are required for obtaining building permits, facilitating general contractor bidding, and ensuring a smooth construction process.
